LAST  WISPERS    

(Dedicated to Nonno Rudy)    

Coloured glimmers

The sea calls 

with the last wispers of the mind.

Echoes of wave breaker�s backwash,

seagull cries, 

distant voices. 

I wait the silence.

Then, the memories

all at once,

like crazed big waves

White clothes rustling, white walls,

blurred faces, drowned words.

Distant shore

of which I barely have a glimpse

and that I do not know how to reach.

Unknown current,

endless high tide,

of which no word is in the books

of the experience.

I would like to return and to tell 

of this new challenge,

of a new Victory.

But I am  like that octopus, 

the last one I fished,      

grasping the Hand

that will give me oblivion.

Mercy!

And the answer:

a brief wisper of wind, 

a wave of love

in the eyes of my son

Barlumi colorati.

Il mare chiama

con gli ultimi susurri della mente.

Echi di risacche,

grida di gabbiani,

voci lontane,

Attendo il silenzio.

Poi i ricordi

tutti insieme,

come cavalloni impazziti.

Frusc�o di vesti bianche, bianche pareti,

volti confusi, parole annegate.

Spiaggia lontana

che appena intravvedo

e non so come raggiungere.

Corrente sconosciuta,

alta marea senza fine

di cui non si parla nei libri

dell� esperienza.

Vorrei tornare e raccontare

di questa nuova sfida,

di una nuova Vittoria.

Ma sono come quel polpo,

l�ultimo della mia pesca,

avvinghiato alla Mano

che mi dara� l�obl�o.

Piet�!

E la risposta:

breve susurro di vento,

onda d'amore,

negli occhi di mio figlio.
